A group went to a grade school and provided
Pioneer information. We could not "teach". We
told about Nauvoo, pioneers and give some
demonstrations on baking, candle makeing,
rope makeing & Bricks Grade school was 2 Hr
drive and very rural.
Sis Williams and Sis Johnson give demo on baking in a pioneer "bustle oven" they had
ginger bread cookies . The kids were real
interested in the cookies.

Elder Williams & Elder Tolman making rope. We twisted 3 lines of 2, then put the 3 together. Using sisal twine. When the rope was made we held it and had the group do the jump rope.

what an amazing adventure you are on. that sounds like such a blast to serve where you are. we will be trying to keep up to date on your mission as often as possible now that we know you blog site. hope things are going great for you guys.

What a great addition to the spirit I was feeling at our Youth Conference when Jamie Hargreaves called me to say that she was in Nauvoo. She said she wanted to know if you were still on your mission. What a hoot when she realized that she had just been on a wagon that Steve was driving. We were just getting ready to take the kids into see the movie on Joseph Smith at the JS theater. Once she and Kevin got home she called me to say that she had been talking to Linda all day and it was not until the end of the evening before she found out who you were. You guys are so awesome. Jamie said that the spirit just radiated from you, not that that is any surprise to me or anything, just thought it was great that others can see it. BTW:love the hats! Ya you be stylin' in dose dar hats. Love you! ME
i remember doing something like that in middle school. i think it was puritan day and we had to sit up straight and mr. jackson was the school marshall. it was not fun.
Hey, i remember those puritan days at school. We had to churn butter and mr. jackson carried a ruler to wack your hands. mom -- are those you're green checkered table clothes??? Looks like you guys are doing great and having fun!
